ShadowProtect Server gives you the tools you need to centrally manage your point-in-time backup images and restore them in a matter of minutes. The easy-to-use management console allows you to simultaneously push install ShadowProtect to all your Windows servers from a central location and view the backup status of all protected Windows servers in your organization. In addition, ShadowProtect Server provides you with VirtualBoot™ technology — for failover to a virtual server — as well as a virtual converter to convert ShadowProtect backup images into virtual machines.

ShadowProtect ImageManager™ allows you to consolidate point-in-time backup images on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for simplified management. Automatic verification and re-verification tools ensure your backups are in a known good state when server recovery is necessary.

ShadowProtect Server and Your Recovery Time Objective

Your Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is the maximum amount of time your systems can be out of commission — from when a disruption occurs to the moment your system is available again. Minimizing your RTO helps you avoid the consequences of a break in business continuity.

The flexible recovery options in ShadowProtect Server allow you to improve RTO by reducing the time your systems and data are offline. ShadowProtect allows you to complete granular recovery of files and folders or full bare metal server recovery in a matter of minutes. Hardware Independent Restore (HIR) technology makes it quick and easy to recover to the same system, to dissimilar hardware or to and from virtual environments. ShadowProtect’s HIR feature also makes system migration to new servers or consolidation to virtual environments a straightforward process.

Hardware Independent Restore features offers full bare metal recovery and migration to the same, new and different hardware and virtual environments (P2P, P2V, V2V and V2P) for Windows Servers.

Recovery - ShadowProtect provides rapid recovery a number of ways: full bare metal recovery through a bootable recovery CD; recover to similar hardware; or recover to dissimilar or virtual environments with Hardware Independent Restore (HIR).

	File and Folder Recovery - Quickly browse to specific files and folders in your point-in-time backup images to perform granular recovery of your data.

VirtualBoot can boot any point-in-time disk image as a virtual server. Works with Sun/Oracle VirtualBox.

VirtualBoot - Right-click any ShadowProtect Server point-in-time backup image and automatically boot it as a virtual machine.

	Virtual Converter - Take a ShadowProtect Server point-in-time backup image and convert it to a .VHD or .VMDK.

Push-install ShadowProtect Server to other physical or virtual servers using ShadowProtect management console.

Management Console - ShadowProtect’s management console allows you to simultaneously push install ShadowProtect Desktop, Server or SBS to other physical or virtual machines. Check the status of your system backups, import or export system information and create groupings for simplified management.

Ensure that your backup images are in a known using Verification in ShadowProtect ImageManager Standard or Enterprise.

Verification - ShadowProtect ImageManager also verifies and re-verifies backup image chains to ensure that your backup images are in a known good state for fast and reliable recovery should a disaster occur.
